Eastern Ohio Junior Angus Show Rules

Exhibitor’s must be ages 8-21 as of January 1 of the current year and must be a member of the Eastern Ohio Junior Angus Association. Dues can be paid at time of entry.

Exhibitors in the bred and owned class must be the breeder and the first and continuous owner of the animal entered.

The name and member code listed on the entry form must also be listed on the animal’s
registration certificate as “owner”. -
To be eligible to show, the animal must be registered in the name of the junior exhibitor. Farm and ranch names are not permitted.

Entries must be received on or before May 25th, 2022. No late entries will be accepted.
Eligibility of Exhibitors & Entries
Show Categories

There will be classes for Bred & Owned Heifers, Bred & Owned Bulls, Owned Heifers, Registered Steers and Cow/Calf Pairs. Champions will be selected in each category. There will be no overall champion selected.

Entries will be listed in the catalog in order of age (youngest to oldest), and will be led into the
show ring in of catalog number. -
Show classifications for heifers: Born after September 1, 2020.

Show classifications for bulls: Born after January 1, 2021.

Show classifications for steers: Born after January 1, 2021.

Any cow/calf pair may be exhibited provided the calf is bred & owned by the exhibitor and the
following rules are met:
a.Cow must be bred and owned or soley owned by the exhibitor.
b. Calf must be the cow’s most recent natural calf and must have been born after January 1,
2022.
Miscellaneous

This is a NO GROOM show. Cattle should be clean and presentable.

Exhibitors will show wearing appropriate clothing. NO SHORTS.

The Eastern Ohio Junior Angus Association, the Eastern Ohio Angus Association and the Muskingum County Fairgrounds are not responsible for accidents, injuries or loss of property.

Entries will be released upon completion of the show. They can stay if showing in the Ohio Preview Show.

Showmanship will be first class and will be divided into age groups. You will be automatically
signed up for showmanship, you may scratch the day of the show. -
Awards and/or ribbons will be presented to all Champions & Reserves. Premiums will be paid the
day of the show. *If the Champion Junior Show Owned Heifer was purchased at the EOAA Spring Sale, the Jr. member will receive a $100 savings bond from the EOAA. If named Reserve Champion, a $50 saving bond will be awarded. -
Cattle can arrive after 8:00 AM on Friday, June 10th. All cattle must be on the grounds by 9:00
AM, Saturday, June 11th. The SHOW will start at 10:00 AM. -
There will be a $20/head bedding fee if not exhibiting in the Ohio Preview Show.
